Daleron syrup contains paracetamol which can be used in babies and children for the treatment of mild or moderate pain and feverishness associated with teething, toothache, headache, colds and flu. It is sugar free with a taste of pineapple.
Product description
Daleron suspension contains paracetamol which inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins in the central nervous system and thus relieves pain and reduces fever. It is formulated as a syrup with pineapple flavour making it tasteful to be used in children. It also helps reducing fever from immunization.
Indications
It is indicated:
  • In children and babies over 5 kg (above 3 months) to treat temporary fever and pain of a mild nature, such as colds, headaches, toothaches, muscle and joint pain.
  •  In babies who develop fever after vaccination.
Instructions for use
  • Always take Daleron exactly as directed in the patient information leaflet or ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure how to take this medicine.
  • Shake the bottle well before use.
Dosage
The recommended dose for children is 10-15 mg paracetamol/kg body weight.
Inside the package is a dosing syringe graduated in milliliters to measure the right amount of syrup.

  4 – 11 months     80 mg (3.3 ml)
  1 – 2 years     120 mg (5 ml)
   3 – 6 years     180 – 240 mg (7.5 – 10 ml)
   7 – 10 years      240 – 360 mg (10 – 15 ml)
   11 – 12 years      480 mg (20 ml)
            Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
Duration of administration
  • Single dose can be repeated after 4 – 6 hours, up to a maximum of 4 doses a day.
  • Do not use on more than 5 consecutive days for pain and 3 days for fever.
Warning
DO NOT use this product:
  • If your child is allergic to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
  • If your child have acute renal or hepatic impairment.
  • If you are suffering from severe glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency.
  • If your child is taking any other paracetamol containing products, other flu, cold, cough or decongestant products, or alcohol.
  • If your child is suffering from a rare inherited metabolic disorder that causes intolerance.
Precautions:
Tell your doctor or pharmacist:
  • If your child has liver or kidney problems.
  • If your child is taking other medicines or supplements.
  • If the symptoms persist after 3 days of taking Daleron.
 
Other information
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is printed on the bottle and the cardboard box.
The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Not to be stored above 30°C .
After the initial opening, suspension is suitable for use for 3 months.
Ingredients
Active ingredient: Paracetamol.
5 ml of suspension contains 120 mg paracetamol
The other ingredients are: Sorbitol (E420), glycerol (E422), xantan gum (E415), maltilol (E965), microcrystalline cellulose (E460), sodium caramel (E466), sodium benzoate (E211), citic acid (E330), pineapple flavor, riboflavin (E101) and Purified Water.
