ANATOMIC HELP MEDICAL COMPRESSION STOCKINGS - M

 
 
Anatomic help Medical Compression Stocking is a medical device made of an elastic material and silicone used to improve blood flow. It reduces pain and swelling and prevent serious medical conditions like thrombosis and other circulation problems.
 
Indications

It is used in:

  • Varicosis
  • Varicosis during Pregnancy
  • Thrombosis
  • Thrombophlebitis
  • Post thrombotic edema
  • Chronic venous insufficiency
  • After prolonged immobility
  • Angiodysplasia
  • Post traumatic edema
  • Postoperative edema
  • Heaviness and fatigue in the legs after thrombosis
  • Obstruction on foot.
Instructions for use

It is recommended to wear your stockings is in the morning immediately after getting up and before swelling occurs.  The legs should be dry and lightly powdered. You should use rubber gloves when you put the foot. 

HOW TO WEAR THE STOCKINGS:

  1. First wear the foot slip onto the big toe.
  2. Turn the stocking inside out up to the heel. With your two thumbs on the stocking and wear it until it fits well over the heel.
  3. Release the foot slip from the big toe, pull and take out the foot slip.
  4. Move the stocking upwards gradually, by pressing gently with your hands from the heel upwards without pulling the stocking off the edge.
  5. Follow the same movement along the length of the foot up to the end of the stocking, so that the stocking fits perfectly onto your foot. 
  6. Repeat the same steps for the other stocking too.

HOW TO TAKE OFF THE STOCKINGS:

Hold the stocking at the upper edge and pull downwards.
With the flat of your hand press the stocking over the heel and remove. 

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Wash by hand or in the washing machine up to 40 °C. 
  • Use a mild soap for delicate fabrics without textile softener and brighteners. 
  • Dry in an airy place. Clean the silicone bands with alcohol to improve adhesion.
  • They can be used for 6 months. After this period it is recommended to buy new ones.

Warning

DO NOT use in severe arterial circulatory disorders, severe neuropathological disorders, severe microangiopathological disorders and in bedridden patients

DO NOT fold over the top seam (This will double the pressure which can lead to dangerous constriction).

DO NOT use any chemicals.

DO NOT use iron.

DO NOT use drier.

DO NOT expose to the sunlight.

Precautions

Consult the doctor before using if you have:

  • Severe edema
  • Dermatitis
  • Deep venous thrombosis
  • Diabetes
  • Rheumatoid arthritis

The stockings contain silicone that can cause allergic reactions.

Consult the doctor before wearing the stockings for the first time.

It is very important that the stockings are the correct size and fit you exactly.

Be careful with sharp fingernails and rings in order to avoid damaging your stockings.
