Cicloviral 50 mg/g is a cream used for the healing of herpes simplex lesions on the lips and face. It soothes and treat cold sores from the viral infection of Herpes Simplex 1.

Specification

Product description	Cicloviral 50 mg/g contains acyclovir as its main ingredient which is an antiviral drug. It is formulated as a cream for external use for treating cold sores on the face and lips caused by Herpes simplex virus infection type 1. It is considered to be an instant pain relivier. Cicloviral 50mg/g accelerates the healing process.
Indications	Cicloviral cream is used for treating and healing herpes simplex lesions in the lips and face.
Instructions for use	Always read the leaflet or consult with your doctor or pharmacist before use. It is important to start treatment immediately after the first symptoms of lip herpes. Adults and children aged 12 years and over: Wash your hand before and after applying cycloviral cream. Apply the cream with the help of your finger in order to fully cover the affected area. Apply to the affected area 5 times a day every 4 hours not needing to apply during night. Continue the treatment for 4 days. If your injury has not healed by the end of this time, you can keep the treatment for another 6 days. If full healing does not occur after 10 days, or if the injury becomes very serious, consult your doctor.
Warning	DO NOT use Cicloviral cream: If you are allergic to acyclovir or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. On the mucous membranes inside the mouth, eyes or in the genital area. DO NOT exceed the recommended daily dose. Precautions: Consult with your doctor or pharmacist before using Cicloviral cream: If you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding If you accidentally swallow Cicloviral cream You should also avoid touching or scratching, injuries with your hands or even a towel, so as not to aggravate or transfer the infection to another person or other parts of your body.
Other information	Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use CICLOVIRAL cream after the expiry date which is stated on the carton after EXP. The expiry date corresponds to the last day of the month indicated. Do not store above 25ºC.
Ingredients	The active substance is acyclovir. Each gram of cream contains 50 mg of acyclovir (5% w / wacyclovir). The other ingredients are: ketostearyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, propylene glycol, sodium lauryl sulfate sodium, poloxamer 407, white petroleum jelly and Purified Water.
